If you would like to have an authentic Bolognese experience during your stay, join Federico’s cooking class “Stay Hungry Stay Bologna<\/strong>,” a chef born and raised in Bologna. The cooking class will be held in an outdoor laboratory, where Federico – who specializes in typical and traditional cuisine – will welcome you with a glass of wine and a pizza prepared directly by him. <\/p>\n

Then you will be the one to test yourself behind the stove. During the cooking class you will learn how to make two delicious pasta shapes, Tortelloni and Tagliatelle<\/strong>, accompanied by two tasty sauces: the traditional Bolognese<\/strong> sauce and a delicious fresh sauce made with cherry tomatoes and basil.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

You will turn a simple egg into a real dish from scratch. You’ll prepare the dough manually, and Federico will teach you all his chef secrets. <\/p>\n

We can also prepare a vegetarian menu<\/strong> upon request, with lots of fresh, organically grown vegetables.<\/p>\n

Finally, Federico will reveal the family recipe for his special Tiramisu<\/strong>, the best of your life!<\/p>\n

Besides being a cooking class, “Stay Hungry Stay Bologna” is above all a pleasant time to spend together. So during the preparation and tasting of what you have prepared, Federico will offer you a pleasant wine tasting, letting you discover some of the best Italian wineries. You will be able to discover the history behind each bottle and producer and how to pair the perfect wine with the right food. You will be able to choose from Sangiovese, Merlot, Chianti, Pinot Grey and Chardonnay, all from organic Italian producers. <\/p>\n

The class will be held 10 minutes by bus or cab from the Hotel Astoria and will last about 3 hours.<\/strong><\/p>\n
